More Teabaggery

Just when we thought we’d seen all of the misspelled Tea Party signs on the interwebs, we found Morons With Signs. Below is a relatively small sampling of their collection. We encourage you to visit, and if you appreciate their work, please exit to the right.

Wal-Mart Greeter (83) Robs His Own Store

Published: March. 7, 2011 at 1:23 PMGeorge Plane

STATESVILLE, N.C., March 7 (UPI) — Police in North Carolina say an 83-year-old man was arrested after allegedly robbing the Walmart store where he works as a greeter.

Police in Statesville said George Plane Jr. of Mooresville was working at the Crossroads Shopping Center Walmart Sunday evening and at about 7 p.m. he went outside and put on a disguise from his car, The Charlotte (N.C.) Observer reported Monday.

Investigators said Plane approached a garden center employee, pointed a gun at the worker and demanded money from the cash register. Police said the suspect fired at least one shot into the air before fleeing with the cash.

Police spotted Plane’s car a short distance from the store and he surrendered after a brief standoff, officers said.

Statesville police Capt. T.C. Souther said he was surprised to learn Plane’s age.

“He appeared to be in good shape,” Souther told WCNC-TV, Charlotte.

ELYRIA, Ohio — Police in northern Ohio say a man who was asked during a traffic stop whether he’d been drinking took a swig from an open can of beer and told the officer, “Yes.”

According to Cleveland’s WJW-TV, the Elyria police report says 25-year-old Stephen Supers was pulled over early Wednesday because the officer had observed him speeding.

The report says that after Supers took the drink in front of the officer he failed a series of field sobriety tests.

Supers is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on charges including driving under the influence, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

A message was left at his home phone number in Elyria on Thursday. Court records do not list his attorney.
